once,                                                                                                                  a teacher                                                                                                      told me,                                                                                                               “we do what we cannot help doing”
i see this is true.
i also see what i cannot help doing as one path to who i am.
there is always something right about what we are expressing.
even if there is everything that isn't.
and here in the aliveness of integration i find now.
i write and write and write
i sing and sing and sing
i  help children
i read and read
i allow wondering
i allow feeling
i allow giving
and receiving
to be one
i let sound come
i sit
i walk
i remember
i let go
i love bread
i love throwing paint
i deeply want to contribute to change
i know
what happens to you happens to me
and
what  happens to me happens to you
i know
we are separate
and one.
